The Service

Mint Ebooks is an AI-assisted book production workspace. It can help you plan a book, generate and edit outlines and chapters, create cover artwork, and export projects as PDF, EPUB, or DOCX files. Features, limits, and supported formats may change as the product develops.

The Service is a creative and production tool. It is not a publisher, literary agent, legal adviser, financial adviser, or guarantee that a retailer, distributor, or reader will accept your work.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use the Service. You must provide accurate account information and keep access to your email account secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

Magic links and other authentication credentials are personal to you. Do not share them, resell account access, or allow another person to evade plan limits through your account. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Plans, credits, and billing

Some features require credits or a paid subscription. The price, included credits, generation costs, and plan features shown at checkout or in the Service form part of these Terms.

• Subscriptions renew automatically for the billing period shown at checkout until canceled.
• You may manage or cancel a subscription through the billing portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal and does not delete existing projects.
• Included credits refresh according to the plan’s stated cycle. Unused included credits do not replace the next cycle’s allowance, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred between accounts.
• Generation costs can vary with the feature and requested output. The Service will show or describe expected credit use where practical.
• Taxes may be added where required. Stripe processes payment details and billing transactions.

Refund requests are handled under our Refund Policy and applicable law. Contact hello@mintebooks.com if you believe a charge is incorrect.

Your content and generated output

You retain ownership of the material you submit to the Service (“Input”). As between you and Mint Ebooks, and to the extent permitted by law, you own the text, images, and files generated for you through the Service (“Output”).

You grant Mint Ebooks a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, transmit, format, and display your Input and Output only as reasonably needed to provide, secure, maintain, and support the Service and to follow your instructions.

Your responsibilities

You are the author, editor, and publisher of any work you release. Before publishing, selling, teaching from, or relying on Output, you are responsible for reviewing and revising it, checking factual claims and citations, obtaining permissions, screening for infringement or harmful material, and following retailer, disclosure, consumer-protection, and other applicable requirements.

You promise that you have the rights and permissions needed for all Input and for the way you direct us to process it. Do not submit private or sensitive information about another person without a lawful basis and their permission where required.

Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

• break the law, violate another person’s rights, or create unlawful, abusive, exploitative, or dangerously deceptive material;
• infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• generate malware, facilitate unauthorized access, disrupt the Service, probe for vulnerabilities, or bypass security or usage limits;
• misrepresent AI-generated work or impersonate another person where that would be deceptive or unlawful;
• scrape, reverse engineer, copy, or commercially exploit the Service itself except where law expressly permits it; or
• resell credentials, credits, or access to the Service without written permission.

We may investigate suspected misuse and remove content, restrict features, or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service, or third parties.

Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, including Cloudflare, Stripe, Resend, and optional sign-in providers such as Google. Their services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies. Retailers, distributors, and publishing platforms such as Amazon KDP are independent from Mint Ebooks, and their current rules remain your responsibility.

Changes, suspension, and termination

We may update, add, remove, limit, or discontinue features to maintain or improve the Service. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, provider outages, security events, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control may affect access.

You may stop using the Service at any time and may cancel a paid plan through the billing portal. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, fail to pay amounts due, or misuse the Service. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all Output are provided “as is” and “as available.” Mint Ebooks disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that generated material will be error-free, unique, legally protectable, commercially successful, or accepted by any publishing platform.

Nothing in these Terms limits a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mint Ebooks will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunities, or business interruption arising from the Service or Output.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. You remain responsible for keeping independent copies of important manuscripts and exports.

General terms

If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our written permission; we may transfer these Terms as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of the Service.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, our business, or legal requirements. We will post the revised Terms here and update the date above. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when reasonably required. Continuing to use the Service after revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
